About me
Hi Everyone! I’m Kayla Luther, PMHNP-BC, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and founder of Luther Psychiatry, PLLC.
With more than a decade of experience across diverse psychiatric settings—including hospitals, community clinics, private practices, correctional facilities and telepsychiatry clinics—I’ve had the privilege of walking beside individuals through some of their most transformative seasons.
At Luther Psychiatry, my approach blends evidence-based medicine with a deep respect for each person’s story.
Over years of working in psychiatric care, it became clear that many people—especially women—were navigating complex emotional, hormonal, and life transitions without feeling truly seen or heard.
Appointments felt rushed. Symptoms were often minimized. And care rarely accounted for the full picture of a person’s lived experience.
Luther Psychiatry was born to offer something different.
I set out to create a space where evidence-based psychiatry and compassionate presence could coexist—where clients are met with curiosity and where treatment plans are built collaboratively, not automatically.
A place where medication decisions are thoughtful, education is empowering, and care extends beyond symptom management to support meaning, stability, and growth.
I currently offer psychiatric evaluation and medication management for Ages 16+ via telemedicine, and I am welcoming new clients!

What I love most about my work is walking alongside people as they move through pain and begin to rediscover a sense of peace within themselves.
It’s often in the cracks, in the letting go, in the surrender… that something new begins to breathe and we find a different kind of freedom on the other side.
There’s nothing more meaningful than seeing someone fall back in love with life.
Not because its easy, but because they’ve grown through what once felt impossible.
A little more about me
My dog, Koda, will often make appearances during sessions. He takes his role as emotional support assistant very seriously 🐾
Water has always been my calm. Whether it’s sunrise at the lake or sunset by the ocean, those quiet moments remind me to breathe, reflect, and simply be.
Buffalo Bills fan for life (because some loyalties run deep!)❤️💙
I find creative outlets like painting to be grounding — much like the process of growth and recovery itself: steady, colorful, and full of possibility.
I believe humor and authenticity go a long way — in mental health care and in life.
